Who We Are
, In 1928, Captain Bill Westerbeke founded Westerbeke Fishing Gear Company, Inc. . Located on the Boston Fish Pier, Westerbeke provided the Boston Fishing Fleet with product, netting and services. In 1964, Christopher Halligan, Sr. purchased the company and continued to offer the same exacting service to his customers. In the 1990's, due to the rehabilitation of the Boston Fish Pier Westerbeke moved to it's current location on Border Street in East Boston.
Over the years many changes have been made including our netting division. We offer custom made netting to suit your needs
Christopher Halligan, Jr. has taken over the operation along with his wonderful staff offering the same exacting service.
Our safety division offers all manner of marine safety equipment.
We are a certified USCG Life Raft Service Center.
Our netting division offers the best in custom netting design, production and installation.
